Why this week is different
Passenger Terminal Expo has run in Europe for three decades. This week, 23 and 24 September 2026 at Marina Bay Sands, it runs in Asia Pacific for the first time, with Changi Airport Group as Host Airport Partner. The organisers have called the shift plainly: Asia Pacific is on track to become the world's largest aviation market. That is not a forecast we are reading about from outside it. It is the market we work in, and this week it has its own stage.
Changi is one of the programmes our people worked on before Going Systems, in a solution and commercial role. Navi Mumbai, home to a member of this event's own advisory board, is another. We are not arriving to learn the region. We are showing up to compare notes, in person, this week.
What we are listening for, stage by stage
| Theatre | What we are listening for |
|---|---|
| Keynote Leadership | Where infrastructure investment and policy are actually moving, and whether the plans on stage match the systems decisions we see being made. |
| Passenger Experience | Where a biometric or digital identity demonstration is a single touchpoint, and where it is an enrolment model, a data controller arrangement and a commercial structure that will survive a change of airline. |
| Sustainability and Financial Strategy | How a net zero pathway is actually funded: the public-private structures and financing models behind the sustainable aviation fuel and electrification commitments, not just the commitments. |
| Airport Design and Development | How a phased terminal expansion keeps operating through its own construction, and what a design commits an airport to once Advanced Air Mobility has to fit inside it. |
The questions we ask every exhibitor
Where is the system hosted for an airport in this region, and who holds the keys. What the local support model is once the implementation team has gone home. And whether the pricing has been built for the traffic profile of a regional airport, or only for the hub the brochure was written about. We ask these on the floor, not after the follow-up email.
What we are looking for
If a systems decision is coming for the airport you operate or regulate, talk to us before the requirements are locked. We bring design excellence, the ability to execute, and a business case built to survive procurement.
If you are a vendor or supplier building your case for Asia Pacific, talk to us about localisation, partner structure and pricing built for the region you are entering, not the one your last deal closed in.
Either way, we are looking for the start of something: advisory on the decision in front of you now, or a consultancy engagement once it is time to move. This week is when we start looking.
Where to find us
Drew Sundin is on the floor across both days, 23 and 24 September. Message us before the show through this site, or find us on WhatsApp while it is on.
Until then
This week, in our own city, we step onto the Asia Pacific stage for the first time this show has been here. We are not watching from the sidelines. We are on the floor, looking for the people building what comes next. Come find us. It's Going to be great.
