Going Systems

How we work

Questions we get asked

What does an airport technology consultant do?

Going Systems helps airport operators, authorities and technology suppliers design, procure, deliver and optimise airport systems: solution design and architecture, programme management, and the commercial strategy behind the decisions.

Where do you work?

Based in Singapore, working across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The team's experience covers programmes in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, India, Japan, the Philippines, the Gulf, the United Kingdom and the Americas.

Operators or suppliers?

Both. Operators and authorities come to us to choose, buy and deliver systems. Vendors and suppliers come to us for market entry, localisation, pricing and bids. Going Systems is independent, so the advice is about your programme alone.

What is "ability to execute" and why do you talk about it?

It is the criterion evaluators use to judge whether a supplier, a design or a team can deliver what it promises. It is where programmes are decided, more than on ambition. Going Systems brings people who have delivered these systems, so a programme passes that test from the early design stage.

What about seamless travel, digital identity, AI or robotics?

Seamless travel and digital identity are core to what we do: enrolment, biometric matching design, and the touchpoint, trust and commercial models behind them. Artificial intelligence and robotics are moving fast in the same space and we track them closely.

How is Going Systems staffed?

Principal-led. Going Systems assembles the right team for each engagement from a network of senior airport and travel technology professionals, with a named principal accountable throughout.

How do we start?

Send us a message or call. If we can help, you will receive a short written brief and a fixed-scope proposal. If someone else is better placed, we will say so and point you to them.

What size of engagement do you take on?

Any size. Ad hoc is a single scoped question, delivered on its own, often the right place to start. Larger work can be fixed scope, time and materials, an embedded principal, or a standing retainer, depending on what fits.
